The International Symposium on the Evolution of Life on Pacific Islands and Reefs  has been re-scheduled for May 26-30, 2011

Please save the date for this five-day symposium to be held at the East-West Center on the campus of the University of Hawaii at Manoa.  The conference is designed to bring together a diverse group of international experts and students to examine the biogeography and evolution of terrestrial, near-shore, and freshwater biota from across the tree-of-life, including humans, which are distributed across the Pacific Islands.

There will be a variety of ways to participate in the meeting, including public lectures, invited presentations, contributed papers, poster and discussion sessions, as well as pre- and post-meeting field trips and workshops.  The meeting will be organized around several thematic areas and will focus on both empirical studies and methods for analyzing biogeographical data.

Please visit the conference website at Evolution of Life on Pacific Islands and Reefs for more information on the program and guidelines.  Additional email announcements will be sent out in advance of registration and abstract submission deadlines.  If you would like to join the distribution list please contact Nancy Khan at khanna@si.edu .
